Conditional Formatting in CRM 2011

Just found a very interesting feature added to CRM 2011 Outlook Client. Users can now perform conditional formatting on views while working from their outlook and share them with other users. This can be useful while analysing large amount of data for auditing. This video will demonstrate the feature.

  1. I really don’t know why Microsoft thinks this is such a great feature…it COULD be, but right now it sucks because every time you restart Outlook all of your conditional formatting is GONE and must be recreated. How dumb is that. This must be a bug because the only ones that disappear are the one related to CRM. This feature/bug was sent to Microsoft in beta and here we are almost a year later and it’s still a problem.

So, until it starts saving these changes this is a pretty worthless feature.

    1. Hi Mike
I strongly agree with you but I think Micorsoft knows the fact that this feature is not being used by majority of the CRM users. Until and unless this feature becomes famous and starts driving the business, they are not really going to take a step further to fix the bug. But taking your point into consideration, I am going to try to escalate this bug and open a support case with Microsoft to see if they can do something about it.
